FAQ for Men
Receiving the P-Treatment for Men
Why seek the P-Treatment for Men?
The P-Treatment for Men is a medical protocol developed by Dr. Dunn, in which she combines the P-Shot (a PRP procedure) with integrative therapies to optimize effectiveness. Dr. Dunn’s “The P-Treatment” is designed for men seeking stronger erections, enhanced sexual performance, greater sensitivity and increased penile size. Ideal candidates can be of any age, but those a bit older, who have noticed decrease in function due to aging, hypertension, genetics, toxic environmental exposures, diabetes, or prostrate related disease report extremely strong results. It’s also effective for correcting curvature in the case of Peyronie’s Disease.
Dr. Dunn has also curated other procedures designed for both men and women. These include PRP Facial, PRP Hair Injections, and the P-Treatment for Women. More information about all our procedures can be found on this FAQ page, by calling our clinic, or by discussing options in person with Dr. Dunn during a consultation.
What is PRP Science, in a simple explanation?
Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) from your blood is processed and injected into the base, shaft, and head of the penis. The PRP acts as a ‘messenger’ to signal your body to send stem-cells and “heal” the injection sites. The net result is accelerated collagen, vascular, and tissue growth in the entire penis.
What is the P-Treatment for Men vs. The P-shot?
Dr. Dunn integrates multiple medical modalities in the P-Treatment for Men. The P-Shot, alone, includes the administration of Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) as one of the core ingredients, combined with a medical solution to increase the “life” of the cells. For the P-Treatment for Men, Dr. Dunn then applies her specialized, integrative approach to optimize “take” of the cells and to provide the optimal environment for cellular growth. She incorporates the best of well-studied stem cell technologies (ie. PRP), wave technologies, pharmacology, supplementation and eastern philosophies for optimum efficacy.
How do P-Treatments work, in more detail?
The secret is harvesting and concentrating the perfect Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP). After drawing a minimum of 60 cc of your blood, Dr. Dunn uses specialized equipment to separate, isolate, and concentrate the fraction of the plasma clinically proven to stimulate stem cells. Blood must be concentrated by a factor of 10- fold in order to create a cell/volume ratio that produce results. She then meticulously mixes your PRP with an all-natural activator and injects this cocktail into the desired areas. Activation of PRP, is time and technique sensitive, and delay in injection once activation occurs will diminish effectiveness. Dr. Dunn uses this knowledge to separate the PRP into multiple small syringes and thus only activates the exact amount to be injected in each area.
Once the cells are injected in to the desired areas, a communication cascade occurs within the body between the injected cells, the particular anatomical site, and circulating stem cells to “heal” and rebuild defective and aging anatomy. The body recognizes and identifies anatomy, so that stem cells attracted to the Penis “know” to enhance penile function only.
Old, tired vascular endothelial linings of arteries and veins of the penis are replaced with strong, responsive, new, elastic cells. The spongiform tissue of the shaft enlarges and plumps with new growth factors. Neural endings on the tip become more sensitive.
This translates into increased sensitivity, stronger and more sustainable erections, increased girth, and in the case of Peyronie’s disease, a dissolution of the scar tissue.
Who is a good candidate for the P-Treatment for Men?
Any man who seeks increased sexual performance, male enhancement, or an improved sex life can benefit from the procedure. One out of every two men between the ages of 35 and 65 will have a problem with erectile dysfunction, or other sexual wellness issues. The P-Treatment for Men has been designed to help you!
If you have tried or been disappointed by Viagra or other ED medications/treatments, or are considering surgery, we encourage you to try The P-Treatment for Men!
How fast can I see results?
We have a rule of three: sensation changes at day three, noticeable changes in three months, and full response by three months. Some men seek repeat injections every three months until they reach their optimal girth growth. Others are content after one treatment. Some men schedule a treatment once a year and consider it a birthday gift to themselves and their partner.
Are there any side effects? Risks? Downtime?
The P-Treatment for Men is a simple in-office procedure. The injection itself takes about five minutes, although your total time in office will be about 1.5 hours. Proper processing of PRP, according to Dr. Dunn’s requirements, requires more time than clinics. There is little or no downtime. As far as side effects go, that is really one of the beauties of the P-Treatment: since it is made from your own blood, there are little or no known side effects!
Where is the penis injection given?
The PRP injections are applied to the parts of your penis that are most important to sexual arousal and erectile function.
Is it painful? Does the P-Treatment for Men hurt?
Dr. Dunn strives to ensure that your experience is the most enjoyable it can possibly be. She uses state-of-the-art light hypnotherapy, acupuncture, and other deep-relaxation techniques prior to both the blood draw and procedure. Bringing the body to a relaxed and supported state helps ensure the injected PRP stays in the penis and doesn’t get recruited to other areas of the body that may be inflamed or anxious. Additionally, a cream-based lidocaine will be applied to the site of injection 30 minutes prior to your treatment. She also performs a local nerve-block to further reduce the chance that you will experience any discomfort. Since every patient is different, some people may experience tenderness during the procedure or during the following few days around the injection site.
How much increase in size can I expect?
Men often notice changes within a few days and others require more than one treatment. Most notice changes in girth by one month. An increase in girth is more commonly reported than changes in length, although length changes are reported as well. Logically, aging tissue has shrunk and the treatment restores tissues to a younger state, and so increase in girth is the common outcome. Growing new tissue takes time - usually 4-6 weeks. Sensory changes in the tip seem to occur faster.
I am a little shy about the process, will I see other patients?
Dr. Dunn has set up her clinic to be as discreet as possible. The clinic usually treats only one to a maximum of two patients at a time. This means you will probably never see any other patient, from the waiting to the checkout room.
Will I need to see the doctor after the procedure?
A brief follow-up visit is generally recommended four weeks after your P-Treatment procedure. This can be done by phone if you are traveling. Some men choose to have a second P-Treatment at that time, but it will depend on your particular results, optimizing your hormone levels and the opinion of Dr. Dunn.
How much does the P-Treatment for Men cost?
The P-Treatment costs $1,999. While most insurance companies will not pay for the procedure, the long-term benefits significantly outweigh the relative cost. Consider the overall value of the P-Treatment for Men:
Unlike daily, oral ED medications, there are no prescriptions to refill.
The cost is considerably less than ED surgery.
It is the only non-surgical method to increase penis size.
Benefits and effects last for a year or more, which makes it highly cost-effective when compared to male-enhancement surgery.
